Contrary to Arequipa, i´m loving the fact that i can eat what i want, when i want and how much i want.
Just had lunch with a girl, Sam, who i met at Pariwana hostel, where i´m staying in Cusco. We ate (very cheaply.. $5 for a plate to share) at a small cafe, whose profits go towards a disadvantaged school close to the main square. The interior had a child-care theme, with large soft toys on every chair, crazy hats to wear while eating and staff with lots of face paint, not to mention brightly decorated walls.
Think i´ll have a siesta now, then later tonight we´re going salsa dancing next to the Plaza. Have another day here, then go to jungle for 4 days, before heading on the train for Machupicchu. (No, we didn´t book a trek, predominately because there´s no availability for the official Inka trail until September. As for the other treks, because the land is so unstable atm many people are either missing out, running past landslides, or are getting ripped off bigtime)
